THE PARAGRAPH
Before you read anything else today, read Bob Garfield (of On the Media and Ad Age) article of a couple of years ago Chaos scenario and then last week's published part 2 - Chaos 2.0. Both worth reading first and then click on this post from Jeff Jarvis with his clear, articulate view on the future of advertising, marketing, TV, consumer, everything in one quick post. This all opens the 'can of worms', to all ideas about how we will market to the consumer, how will content be financed, 'how marketers and customers can have their transactions and conversations directly' in this “the post-advertising age.”. I honestly think that if you're in some form of marketing or advertising and you read these three pieces, you will respond, you will comment, you will have a point of view, which ultimately is the point, we are living in a time where we can all respond, all communicate, we are living in a 'conversation culture' now where the power is with the consumer, with us.
Even Steve Rubel of micropersuasion blog tells us here to read Chaos 2.0 with many other links to justify the argument.
