THE PARAGRAPH
Are we going to see the Google phone soon where we will never have to pay a monthly mobile bill again? I'm convinced we're about to see the next mobile revolution where you will fill out a very detailed demographic form about yourself online for the mobile companies and then they will send you a free SIM card. You will never pay for a voice call,a text, twitter, photomessaging, video calls or data again. You will give permission to receive some kind of 'interrupted' advertising, branding, money off vouchers, mobile commercials, some form of traditional or new inventive advertising to pay for it all. I'm guessing it's going to be primarily aimed at teenagers, see PSFK blog on acceptance of targeted mobile ads and will spread out from that demographic. Blyk is going to be first out of the blocks in June and am very interested in what form the advertising they are going to use.
