Dirty Water World Vision Viral
I don't often post content we've produced at RSA Films, where I work, but this is definitely something worth shouting about. Here's a hard hitting viral embedded below we made for World Vision and the agency Meteorite, to emphasise the fundamental importance of clean water for daily life, sanitation and hygiene and how 1.1 billion people worldwide are without this basic human need.
The film which can be seen at here has taken the seeming normality of a typical first world family scene and subverted it to play out a nightmare scenario. It's a developing world issue transplanted to a first world context with a horrifying conclusion. Today 1.1 billion people will have no choice but to drink dirty water.
Thanks to an accident of birth, we're not one of them.
But what if you were? If you had to wash the dishes with it, bathe in it, drink it - and ask yourself this question-if you had to give dirty water to those you love knowing it could kill them, would you?
Here's the youtube url or there's the worldvision embed here so please spread and forward on the message to all.

Urrrgh! Those poor people. No way would I have washed my car in that muck!
Seriously though, nice ad.

Def an ad that drives the message home.
Nice hommage to the black hole sun video by soundgarden, what with the close up of the lady's breast and the bottle...or perhaps that's just me

A great supporter of World Vision is AIDtoCHILDREN.com.
AIDtoCHILDREN.com is a dual-purpose site for building an English
vocabulary and raising money for under privileged children in the most
impoverished places around the world.
Check it out at http://www.aidtochildren.com
